Unpredictable Bodies
Sam Metz
27th November-3rd December
Artist Present 27th-28th November

An exhibition of work made through R&D experimentation, supported by two project grants – one called 'Making Solid Unpredictable Bodies' funded by an Unlimited emerging artist award, the other as 'Choreographic Objects' funded by Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant.
The show consists of flat-pack sculptures, drawings in charcoal and ink, and 2 films.
The work legitimises the nonverbal communication and stimming that is experienced by neurodivergent people.
It has been made with direct engagement and input from fellow neurodivergent artists, and long form engagement with Autistic Groups and group leaders.
Online sessions with participants formed part of research and development to create the interpretation toolkit; exchanging ideas on sensory objects & visuals offering valuable lived experience to the process of creation.
